Two Prospects under 22 games in 2014-2015
We are allowed to keep two designated prospects in our keeper league.
Once they make 22 NHL games, they come off our farm slots and onto our active roster.
So I am trying to find 2 players to stash until at least 2015-16.
Two Requirements:
1. The Player is not going to play a max of 22 games in 2014-15.
2. Cannot play on any of these 10 teams:
Philadelphia Flyers, Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Avalanche, Boston Bruins
Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks

Mantha is a clear choice for me as well with the top pick. after that, i'd likely go Bennett for a multi-cat league. In points only, i think it's a coin-flip on Nylander/Dal Colle

What is the reasoning behind rule no. 2, because it eliminates 1/3 of the teams in the NHL? Are these teams you personally hate and cannot cheer for their players?
Mantha was also the first name I preferred. Goldobin intrigues me as a second choice - SJ is not very strong on RW but I think he will be returned to junior to work on the defensive aspect of his game.

Each manager has a Home Team that they picked.
You get 9 Players and 1 Goalie from that home team to start each season.
Then 5 keepers from the rest of the 20 teams. 2F/2D/1G
Therefore our prospect keepers must also come from the 20 remaining non-home teams.
Interesting twist this commissioner created.

The fact they can't play 22 games this year removes my first two picks, Lazar and Domi because I think both will see time in the NHL this year, and both could see more than 22 games. On the other hand, neither may hit 22 games so it's a crap shoot and I will simply avoid them as a "just in case". The same can be said for Mantha. I think he spends a good chunk of time after he returns from his injury in the AHL but will he possibly play in 22 games this year? If Detroit goes through the same injury issues they did this past year, who knows.

Bennett and Dal Colle would be my two choices. Neither will play this season (maybe 9 games, but that's it), and they're probably the two with the highest upsides available. I'm still not a huge fan of Mantha, I like the two I listed better....but I also left him off because he could pass the 22 game mark this season.
