Trading Julius Thomas?

Someone has offered me a trade that intrigues me. The bad thing is my team sucks, and the knowledgable side tells me to rebuild with youth, not go for the win this yr. However I’m competitive and it’s tough for me to pack it in.

He’s offered me Lynch and Gates for Julius Thomas and V.Jackson. I rejected it because I know he’s shopping Lynch like mad and is dying to have Thomas so I know I can get more. Some help with this would be great because I’m not great in fantasy football. He’s an Indy fan, so I can’t touch Luck for Brees in this deal (tried).

I would hate to move Thomas because he would be a decent keeper. But if you really want to compete this year, I think moving him for Lynch and Allen is good. You improve your RB's this year and you get a WR who will only get better now that The Seahawks and Cardinals games are behind him

GM has come back and countered with:
Lynch and Keenan Allen (and a late round pick) for Julius Thomas and a 5^th round pick. In this league it’s a keep 4 or 5, but if you’ve traded your 5^th round pick (1^st in redraft) you are forced to keep 4.

My keepers (as of this date) would then be Lynch, Allen, Patterson, and Wright/Brees/Stacy.

Well if anyone is reading this thread still i got a new deal and accepted it. JT and Stacy for Julio Jones and Terrance West. Now the next step is to flip him for a top RB
