Ya he is doing well now, I am not a believer in he will keep this up.
He will cool down and be forgotten

And the reason you think so is ...
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I'll give you that a cool down is inevitable. But with Dallas' choices of who to roll out on D, I doubt that he'll be forgotten.

Cool down from what, though? He's got 3 points in 5 games. That's not exactly a torrid pace. And the sample space is so small it's difficult to extrapolate production over a longer stretch based on 5 games.

Exactly. I don't think anyone is predicting that he'll magically turn into the next Erik Karlsson. But at the same time, he's worth taking a calculated gamble on given how he's been used so far.

Argh... I'm no closer or further away from a potential pick up.

May need to take a chance and watch another game or 2 to try and nail down a projected usage trend.

    Hate these situations.

My bad, I didn't realize that there was nothing to see here.

Maybe this will help. I've watched the past few Stars games via Center Ice. Klingberg looks absolutely dominant on the ice. He's everywhere.
Unless the Stars are able to bring in another offensive weapon on the back end, Klingberg is going to be given EVERY chance to succeed. In fact, I would be surprised if he was not on the top PP unit next game.

It's definitely a risk worth taking at this point. With the offensive fire power on this team, the kid has a lot of weapons around him. He might not turn into a superstar over night, but the tools are there to make him an extremely valuable asset...right now.

Klingberg or Trouba for the rest of the season in a points-only setup?

In a points only I'd roll the dice on Klingberg. Unless Ruff is completely mad Klingberg has got to be getting some looks on PP1 soon.
