Don't know about the Rundblad comparisons but Klingberg has been mighty impressive in his 4 games with the Stars. Looks like the real deal to me but of course it's only been 4 games so enthusiasms must be checked.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

It didn't take long for the Swede to get acclimatized to the North American ice and game. After coming over at the end of last season to play in three games with the Texas Stars, it only took ten AHL games this fall to see him get the call to Dallas.

BTW he put up 12 pts in 10 games.

I just hope he can put some weight on his 6'1" frame. I worry about his 174lbs, but he's seems to be a smart player.

I think it was Dreger that said during the intermission the other night that Gonchar was traded to make room for Klingberg so it looks like he's here to stay.

He's looked pretty good so far and if they moved Gonchar to make room that bodes well for him. Might grab him today in my keeper before someone else snatches him first. I think he's worth a speculative pickup.

Yeah, depending on your league's set up. I wouldn't expect big fantasy numbers this season because of both Goligoski and Daley, along with the Stars playing 4 forwards on their top PP. I picked him up and will stash him on my farm in one of my leagues and hope that he ends up forcing Dallas to deal one of Goligoski or Daley.

There's no way that happens. Nemeth is lost for the season and they already traded Gonchar for a forward. Having too many bodies on D is not an issue even assuming Klingberg sticks for the duration.

Even with Klingberg, the Stars can't roster six NHL calibre defencmen so IK is right - Goli and Daley aren't going anywhere. They also don't have the offensive instincts or skills that Klingberg has, so they won't stand in his way for long - regarding the powerplay... Only problem is, right now the Stars are playing soooo poorly at even-strength that they are playing Klingberg an absurd amount of even-strength minutes for a rookie because they need someone who can stop the bleeding at 5 on 5. He isn't on the top PP right now, because really, how many minutes do you really want someone with less than five games in the big leagues playing. He has been over 24 minutes a night as it is.

I wouldn't drop daley for him and in a one year league I am not sure he provides value this year...

We're in the same boat. I've been thinking about it for a couple days, but I think I'll just keep him on my radar for now.

I think I'm going to check LWL Game Day every single time Dallas plays, and in the event that Kling usurps Daley on PP1, I'm instantly making the drop.
