    Really?!? That's pretty cool.

What an amazing idea. I hope I see a tree get hit by lighting one day so I can make cool stuff out of it.

Ya my moms place in Toronto backed right on to a park and after a summer storm I saw that one of the tall maple had been split in half by a lightning strike. I had watched the Natural about a month earlier for the first time and loved it. I was 10ish and with the Jays being in their glory years I was obsessed with Baseball. So I hacked out a decent sized hunk of the from the middle of the tree where it had split, whittled it down and hand sanded it. but it turned out to be closer to a rolling pin missing a handle than a baseball bat. I tried to use it but it sucked, lol.

I encounter my fair share of lightning trees working in the forest fire game so I may have to give this a go for shits and giggles. Maybe pass it on to my kid whenever I get around to having one of those.

Ace Ventura - pet detective, it's kind of about football... I still think that movie is hilarious 20 years on, too funny!
