Schenn still hits 200 a year, with 200 SOG. If he gets his 50-55 points, he's worth a lot in our league.

Are you sure you want him to bite? Seguin is already at where MacKinnon might be in 2-3 years. Why not just keep the know commodity in Seguin, who is in a great situation in Dallas?

I guess this is the answer I waited for. You're right, Seguin's already there, why overpay to get the sexy name !

I don't mind that as an offer. I think some GMs (who aren't too deep into the MacK koolaid) might accept for Seguin alone.

That being said I wouldn't be surprised if he declines this one either.

Maybe it just isn't worth pursuing MacK. I'd definitely keep Seguin and Trouba... maybe pounce on the wonder kid when he hits a cold streak or gets injured.

I agree. No knock on MacKinnon or what he might become, but not sure you accomplish very much by giving up Seguin to get him (much less Seguin+).

I'm not sure what the point of the trade would be for either of you. If he's into a rebuild then Mac is the first guy I would want. You have plenty of depth at forward and are very strong on D, which is valuable in a league with 230 keepers. Since you have room to keep a couple of goalies if anything I'd focus on upgrading there as Smith and Rinne are uncertain for the long term and Quick may become a band-aid boy.

That's a sound advice. I'm not quite sure I'll drop Smith, he's got no value in our league and he brings only W's in the bank. I'm looking possibly to draft a couple back ups with the idea they'll steal the number one job.
