I'm not sure what the follow up is. I guess if you have any skills as a pickpocket you could probably withdraw several thousand dollars before they caught on. Or maybe they target people they know where they would be able to swipe the card unnoticed?Originally Posted by The Comish

That is amazing but new technology is PAYPASS don't need your pin anymore for 70% of your transaction...

To me, Paypass is a bigger security concern than stealing PIN codes. With Paypass, all they need to do is steal your wallet/card and they can start spending. At least with the PIN code, they need to steal your wallet/card AND know your PIN code to get access to your money.

I only shop very early in the morning when stores are dead so good luck trying this on me
I'm noticing more debit card machines have a plastic pen type instrument you can use instead of your index finger -so this would help
I agree with axeman on the paypass statement .Lose your wallet you best be on the phone asap to freeze your card.
