Was a baseball fan until the mid-late 90's - the steroid era and the strike in 94 ruined it for me and I never went back (yes stoppages happened in hockey several times, but its hockey). I've never been able to get into football or basketball, or any other sport really. Soccer I find mind-numbingly boring.
So yeah, summer sucks for hockey fans

53 more days of hibernation and then it's over!! Nothing better than Hockey season in fantasy sports! Fantasy Baseball is ok, but overall nothing compared to hockey.
Football is ok, but it's only once a week.
