I'd want a top WR and a top RB in the first two rounds. Is it keep forever?

If so I like guys like Lacy/Julio better than AP/Mega based on age.

McCoy is my top back, PPR or STD though.

I will have to sift through some mock drafts, but not many mock drafts are for keeper leagues.. Like how would I rank my top guys for a keep 2??

It is a keep forever.. I get to select the two guys I want to keep going into the next season.. So always keeping 2 players..

Basically keep the same rankings as you normally would, just put a bit of a higher weight on age.

I'm trying to think of an example. But like. I like McCoy/Lacy over AP/Lynch. I probably like Deymarius/Julio/Dez over Calvin.

If you take AP you have 1 or maybe 2 years of truly elite left. Well AP is a bad example because he's a robot. But McCoy and Lacy are Mid-20's they will give you like 4-5+ years of elite left. Julio/Dez/Deymarius are all elite and much younger than Calvin. Especially for your first couple picks, just consider how much longer some young elite guys will last over older ones.

Thank you.. If I don't draft in the 1-2 slot I hope to drop down later near the end and grab 2 elite WR's in the 1st and 2nd rounds, or maybe Jimmy Graham.. I just feel in a PPR keeper, I can draft dolid RB's every year whereas stud WR's will probably be kept..

I tried giving you some rep, but it said I had to spread some around to others before I could give you more, HaHa..

Pretty solid advice from rataylor. To add to it a little bit, the basic point in PPR, in my view, is that it obviously gives a drastic bump in value to the stud WRs (guys like Calvin, Thomas, Dez, Marshall and like, all of whom catch a ton of passes in addition to racking up YAC and TDs), Jimmy Graham is gold, and the high-end pass catching backs (e.g., McCoy, Charles, Forte, etc.) are invaluable. The non-stud, but high-volume, pass catchers like Antonio Brown, Jordy and Kendall Wright are also more valuable than you might traditionally perceive them. The corollary is that your traditional deep threat receivers (e.g., DJax; Wallace; Torrey Smith) lose value; RBs that are normally are more just straight runners (e.g., Lynch; Morris; Ridley; Gore at this point in his career) carry significantly less value than their names; and QBs can be bumped down your list even a little further (because the spread between how much they outscore other positional players decreases). In short, you don't chase TDs in a PPR league. It's better to chase touches (even when it's a pretty unexciting yards per catch average with dismal TDs -- a guy like Kendall Wright).

Regarding the keeper aspect, I also generally agree with rataylor that a premium should be accorded to age. But I wouldn't get too carried away about it. For example, I'll certainly take someone like Lacy over Forte or Lynch in a keeper at this stage. But I'm not taking him over McCoy or Charles. And I'll take Calvin every single day as the top WR. He's a generational talent that has produced elite numbers with a revolving door of garbage at QB during at least half of his career. He now plays with one of the more physically talented young QBs in the league. The other WRs that tend to round out the top 5 in many people's dynasty rankings (Dez, Thomas, Julio, Green in some order) are damn good and awesome #1s to have. But they're not generational talents. And other than perhaps Green, none of them have shown that they can produce elite numbers without a top 10 or so QB throwing them the ball and another pretty darn good receiving option or two taking some coverage away. In other words, when you're keeping only two players year-to-year, there will be another crop of damn good, but non-generational talent that comes along who you can draft and then choose to hold when someone like Calvin is nearing the end.

    Just my two cents.

While I agree they maybe haven't shown they can produce without an elite QB, in the case of Julio at the very least, when is that going to change? Matt Ryan is almost as young as Julio. Anyways, late first round I like Graham as a pick, and an elite WR. I definitely agree RBs that can get you production are easier to find later as passing down backs can match production on "runners" ie Shane Vereen, Danny Woodhead. I'd take Calvin if he was there, but I'd still be happy with Julio/Demayrius/Dez/Green. So I guess that goes against what I said earlier, I'm a little bitter still about Calvin/Stafford burning me in the fantasy playoffs last year (I owned them and they did nothing lol).

Agree about Julio. As far as the "next generation" of stud WRs go, I like his situation the best (paired up with a young, very solid QB, plays indoors in a division with traditionally pretty lousy defenses, not a head case, etc.). The foot issue worries me a tad and it'll be interesting to see what he does now without Gonzalez and in the next year or two when when White really starts slowing down, but I like his situation a lot -- actually chose to protect him in a limited keeper this year over a slightly older, more proven commodity. And not trying to knock Demaryius, Dez, Green too much; I'd still be quite happy with them obviously.

You bring up another excellent point about PPR league strategy: you can often make some serious hay with a non-traditional RB2 like Vereen, Woodhead, etc that you grab later in the draft.

Boo Giovani! Lol. I don't like him this year. I don't think cost will be worth what he produces. Love Montee though.
