The Whalers thing runs deep - I've been a die-hard Whalers fan since I was about 9 years old, and I would save MONTHS worth of my allowance, and even started working part-time at 14 purely to be able to see the Whalers whenever they came to the Saddledome - the nearest NHL venue to where I live.
I still have a hat signed by Andrew Cassels, Paul Maurice, Geoff Sanderson, and others whose autographs are now too faded to recognize...
The Whale Tail with a radio antenna is the logo I use for the team in my sig - The Whalers on the Moon.
