Good mercy, I'm so happy July is over and August is here!

Predictions: What is the first thing in the guide that people will rip on Dobber for?
I'm gonna say... um... 73pts for Patric Hornqvist!!!

Turris' 80pt upside? I think Ev is sliding the big man a fifty for that stat.

First thing I usually do is to go over my current players projections. Then I read it all.

I'm interested to see his take on my goalies (Niemi and Lehtonen) and my newest LW, D.Sedin.

I imagine there will be some crazy rookie/young kid numbers on there that most of us will be surprised by.

I'm gonna say no on the rookie numbers.
Dobber, I think, knows this isn't the creamiest of draft classes and did realize how special Mackinnon is.
He likes to "wow" us on the occasional prediction, but I doubt he'll put any rookies above 50pts.
    That's my guess.

    Not even Drouin?

I suppose if he does end up on the 3rd line as often predicted... then maybe not. I call 55 pts though and highest projected rookie.

A few of my friends have had a few less than savoury experiences with linking PayPal directly to their bank account. I can (unfortunately) patiently wait.

    Oh, good point.
I was thinking "2014 draft class"... and forgot about Drouin.
    Hm, yes, over 50pts.
I'll say Dobber pegs him at 56pts.

I like the discussion on Drouin; I feel like others have mentioned his point value will be largely dependent on his line mates for this year. I know a lot of guys who are saying he is a lock for top line but given Johnson's emergence last year I think he sticks for the time being. Also Drouin is tearing up the juniors again, but he still isn't a lock to make the big club this year is he? Is it possible he stays in the AHL or has his conditioning improved to the point where he will seriously have a chance at keeping up at the NHL level? From what I recall last year he didn't have the legs and couldn't keep up which is why they opted to keep him in Jr. Am I wrong in this?

I can't remember why they didn't keep him last year, but he is only 19 as of September this year so he would have to go back to junior again this year if they didn't keep him. Not eligible for AHL
