One of the worst movies I've watched that I can remember is Atonement. Man I hated it from the start, but I had to watch it until the end just to see how it ended.
I find myself doing that often, watching movies until the end, however crappy the movie is.

The only thing I can think of is the ENTIRE Resident Evil series. Just so dumb and so off from the original story/characters. The games have a perfect blue print to make some great movies but nooooooooooo we have to have that garbage that makes no sense movie to movie.

The fault in our stars.....
Saw previews for it and thought 'That is a movie I would NEVER go see' and then a week later my fiancee at the time and her friends were going to see some movie that they didn't know the name of. All of the boyfriends and I tagged along figuring 'Movie night, why not?'. I knew the title of the movie but didn't know what it was about until the opening scene where flashbacks of the preview came to mind.
Outside of every girl (and probably some guys) crying through 3/4 of the movie, I honestly just absolutely hated it haha

hahaha The girlfriends probably 'forgot' to mention what kind of movie it was!
My wife wanted to see it, but she ended up going with her friend. I would watch pretty much anything, but that's not my kind of movie.

So-bad-it's-good: Plan 9 from outer space. Seriously, it's epic. Probably watched it 10 times (in its entirety).
Grown Ups was terrible. Not the worst movie ever I'm sure, but for me that was probably the hardest 1 1/2 hours to sit through (felt like 15 hours). I didn't laugh even once.

One girl knew what it was all about the rest of us knew the title and just couldn't put two and two together!
I honestly just kept shaking my head thinking 'This movie sucks, this movie is so depressing, why is there a movie about this'
And then the main character would do something 'cute' and all the girls would say 'AAAWWWEEEEE' in sync - it was bruuutal haha
Some of the worst movies I have seen are the ones where everyone laughs and I am just sitting there!

He's Just Not That Into You
Hated this movie with a level of rage I usually reserve for Victoria drivers.
It's a chick flick, but that isn't the problem. The problem is that the first 90% is spent explaining to the fairer sex that their idealized romantic notions are not necessarily healthy and can get in the way and the last 10% erases every bit of that. There are multiple stories told and they pretty much all have the same infuriating crappy collapse back to a fairy tale.
To wit: one girl leaves her boyfriend because he doesn't want to get married... even though he treats her better than any of her married friends are treated by their husbands. Eventually she realizes this and goes back to him. Yay! Score one for common sense... oh, wait. Nope, he changes his mind and proposes because ?!?!?!?!?!?!
It would be the same as the last 15 minutes of Super Size Me being dedicated to people who have had miraculous weight loss by only eating at McDonald's.

Megshark vs Giant Octopus
The trailer is a scene where the shark jumps out of the ocean and bites a plane in half, and I was thinking, this movie is going to be so bad it's good! Sat down and watched it with some buddies, but no. It was just so bad. Search the plane scene on you tube and that's all you need to see. Man that scene was so hilariously bad it was good, but the rest is just a waste of your life.

I actually enjoyed (and own) this movie for the so bad it's good. The sequel "Megashark vs Crocosaurus" stars Urkel and falls into the same territory for me.
Grown Ups 2 was absolutely awful and I'm a huge Sandler fan. I can even stomach most of his recent stuff like "Just Go With It", but really didn't enjoy that flop.
This may be an unpopular choice but one of the worst movies I ever watched was "Open Water". I ended up watching most of it on fast forward because I was so bored with it.
Also I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned Twilight yet.
I'm sure this thread will be revived when half of us get dragged by the girlfriends/wives to see 50 Shades of Grey next year.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
