Bo also with an IDIOTIC play at 3rd Base. I need a view that shows Rivera's mouth though. If he's just holding his hand up and not yelling "Stop" that's the laziest BS I've seen a coach do. It's honestly fireable in my opinion.

Bo trying to be a hero just like the play last year where he and Springer collided.

So after decompressing a bit on the Bo play, I can't be as upset as I was yesterday on 1 thing. Correa legitimately made an insane throw. That was such a good play. HOWEVER....
    - Bo blew his coaches stop sign
    - He ran hard until he thought 3B was going to play it and stopped running
    - He challenged a HOFer SS who's defense is still top tier
    - He gambled at a dumb time

Blowing the stop sign is insane to me, unless Rivera didn't say "STOP". I also find it crazy Schneider didn't at least look into "catcher-blocking-the-plate" on that too. He's challenged so many dumb things, but wouldn't even entertain that.

The only issue I have with this is Correa is NOT a HOFer

I hate to say it, but Correa might very well be a HOFer. JAWS number ranks him as the 35th best SS ever. The JAWS number to target for a HOF as a SS is 54.8, WAR is 67.0. Correa is at 39.4 and 40.9

If he averages 5WAR/year, he only needs to be strong for 5 more years to be awarded a shot at the HOF. It will then be up to voters if his cheating is in line with steroid use and if he gets voted in. He'd get in based off defense like Scott Rolen recently.

Agreed, I do NOT hate the Bo trying to take home there.
There were 2 outs and that means a very high chance the runners get left on anyways.
The ball gets away and it looks like Bo is safe to advance, Correa made an epic throw, the catcher made an amazing scoop and tag (live I thought he missed the ball).

It really sucks that it did not work out, and changes the entire game, but I do not think it was a massive blunder given the 2 outs, and how the ball gets by the 3rd baseman.

How many games has Guerrero cost the Jays this year? No clutch HRs all year and now getting thrown out with your best player at the plate in a playoff game. Seems the only thing he's good at is tossing Gatorade on players being interviewed.

This game has been a disaster. Dumb mistakes. Questionable manager decisions (Berrios gone with little rope.). No clutch hits.
Twins are just making every play too.

Well that’s the Jays season in a nut shell. Good pitching, stupid mistakes, weird coaching decisions and NO offense when you need it. Cashing in RISP killed them all year.

Not sure why Berrios was pulled so early, he was dealing.
No idea what the hell Vlad is doing getting picked off 2nd.
zero clutch hitting with 2 outs or RISP.

There was talks that the decision to move away from Berrios after the first time around the lineup came from above Schneider and way before the game even started. It was an analytical decision, not a managerial one. I still think it's BS. I like analytics and they definitely have a place in the game but at varying times, you have to go with what is in front of you, and Berrios was still the right choice no matter what the analytics say. Very frustrating. That being said, if you can't get guys across the plate, the decision to pull Berrios was moot. Berrios staying in or coming out means nothing if they cant score runs.

I still do not like John Schneider as the manager and dont think he is the right guy, but the decision to move away from some power in the offseason like Teoscar or Gurriel came back to bite them in the ass and that goes above his pay grade. Shatkins not finding power at the deadline cost them, even though it was a known issue all season long.

Now what to do about Vladdy and Manoah. Two pieces where we seen as the future cornerstones are very much in question right now.

This was a good team built on pitching and defense. Both were what got them there to the playoffs, but it's not enough to win. Going to be an interesting off-season.
