Ya a demotion was probably coming....but if it's TJS that's a huge blow to the organization.

Sounds also like it's just tight. Prolly from pushing every pitch he's thrown because he gets in trouble often early. Seems like he's throwing more than pitching, which is like what Syndergaard did.

Take your time with him Jays. He's electric, don't burn it.

Toronto trade a player to be named or cash considerations for Taijuan Walker from Seattle Mariners.

I like that deal at the moment. Curious what kind of PTBNL it might be.

Shouldn't be too high of a player. He's apparently not on the Jays 60-man roster. Considering Walker will get like 5-6 games, this makes sense.

    Apparently it's a "top 30" prospect.

    https://twitter.com/JimBowdenGM/stat...208175622?s=19

According to multiple sources involved on both sides of the #BlueJays #Mariners trade of Taijuan Walker….the #Mariners will receive a top 30 prospect from the #BlueJays in the trade.
I'm fine with the trade. Nice to see the Jays pushing for the playoffs again for a change. Walker was a top prospect just a couple years ago so still some upside.

Negative. He is a free agent in 2021

If he has a good end to the season with Toronto I think he will get a decent contract. Once being the top prospect in MLB there is still some shimmer there for teams.

Yeah. And it might even be a contract from the Blue Jays considering that ownership has said they would spend on the right pitchers, and he does have that upside. Not a lot of other FAs are too interested in playing here.

The team has also made it sound that they aren't done getting arms. And sounds like they want run prevention, not run scoring.

The next moves all depend on player health though. Bo Bichette could be back soon, if not, pick up a SS that can play 3B, if Giles isn't ready pick up some RP help, if Pearson is done for the yr or not in your SP plan pick up an SP.

Yeah the injuries have crept up a little. The offence is clicking right now sonI definitely get trading for run prevention.
