Haha what a slaughter... should shut the Texas media up.

Hopefully Jays don't let this one get to their heads... still a long ways to go.

The last time Toronto played Yu Darvish was in 2014 and they played him twice. 1-1, 1.84ERA, 14.2IP, 10H, 3ER, 1HR, 6BB, 23Ks.

I was more nervous of Yu than Cole “Looks like Lord Farquaad” Hamels

Oh ya easily. And they have well known issues vs RHP. They needed yesterday. The rest of the Rangers' rotation is not great so getting a win yesterday was MASSIVE.

What a performance by Osuna!!! If that were Rivera people would be talking about it for years.

They really hung on today and almost want to say they got lucky against Darvish. All 4 hits were home runs?!?! That just doesn't happen. But hey we'll take it...let's just not do what Texas did last year.

Also....the game times are frigging messed. How can the Jays play at 7:38 on Sunday and then right back at it at 1:08 Monday. Meanwhile Boston plays at 4 both days! I get that the NL teams shouldn't because of the time difference......but that should not be allowed.

Amazing how Liriano was okay after that line drive to the back of the head. He's actually been cleared to fly back to Toronto.

Not wanting to put a hex on the boys but last year went like this:

    Game 1 - Rogers Center
    Texas Rangers – 5, Toronto Blue Jays – 3
    Game 2 - Rogers Center
    Texas Rangers – 6, Toronto Blue Jays – 4 (14)

Game 3 - Globe Life Park
    Toronto Blue Jays − 5, Texas Rangers − 1
Game 4 - Globe Life Park
    Toronto Blue Jays − 8, Texas Rangers − 4

    Game 5 - Rogers Center
    Texas Rangers − 3, Toronto Blue Jays − 6

Just hoping the Jays can close this out in 3 games when they go home !!

    Go Jays Go !!!!

While I see your point....Texas had Martin Perez and Derek Holland in Game 3 and 4 last year.......Jays have AL ERA leader Aaron Sanchez. Not saying he can't lose.....but things are a little different this time.

ALDS Game 3 preview: Texas Rangers at Toronto Blue Jays

    ROGERS CENTRE
    RH Aaron Sanchez (15-2, 3.00)
vs. RH Colby Lewis (6-5, 3.71)
    FIRST PITCH: 7:38 p.m.

    KEY PLAYERS
    Bautista/Beltran
Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista, who just tied Joe Carter for the Blue Jays’ all-time lead in post-season homers with six, is 5-for-18 vs. Lewis in his career with two homers and 10 walks. . . . Rangers veteran Carlos Beltran, acquired from New York at the trade deadline, is 4-for-8 against Sanchez in his career with one homer, which was hit at the Rogers Centre last season.
    NEED TO KNOW
The Blue Jays are expected to be have a shortened bench and bullpen in Game 3 as both Devon Travis (knee) and Francisco Liriano (concussion) are doubtful. . . . Bautista and Troy Tulowitzki lead all major-league hitters with five RBIs in the division series thus far. . . . Justin Smoak hasn’t had a chance to hit in the series yet, but the Jays first baseman has a .364 batting average and two homers against Lewis in his career, so Sunday may be a good time for John Gibbons to write his name into the lineup. . . . Sanchez faced the Rangers twice this season, both in May. In Toronto he held them to three runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings, while in Texas he was tagged for six runs on seven hits and four walks over 6 2/3 innings. . . . Lewis has not fared well in Toronto in his career, posting a 2-3 record and 5.81 ERA over six career starts at the Rogers Centre.

Dome is Closed, and if it gets to game 4, Holland ain't pitching. Hamels would come in i think.
