    Tough tough loss

On a related note. Mlb needs to change how they handle 40 man rosters next year. It's so ****ing stupid.

I hate yankee stadium. Super shallow right with the wind coming from left field. I hate it. Build the stadiums all the same.

I agree with you, except they can't because a lot of the parks have physical restrictions outside the parks, like Fenway and the highway nearby.

I always thought any new stadium built should have new rules to build by. Eventually the majority of stadiums will move to a common dimension, and you’d have the odd one like Fenway being weird.

The physical restraint shouldn’t be an issue anymore for a stadium because if it won’t fit, it won’t fit. No other major sports fields have different dimensions like baseball. To me it’s ridiculous. But it’ll never happen.

To the same idea....have all frigging games have the same lineups. Why is 40 man allowed in September. Clear solution is to allow 40 to be playable but every game they have to release a 25 man roster. Simple. Baseball is the most individual sport there is and by adding 15 individuals for one month they are drastically changing games.

September can be a bit of a bitch in baseball. Endless substitutions since the benches go on forever and players getting injured don't generally get put on the DL since there is no need.

In one sense I don't mind the September callups as in Dynasty Leagues you might be able to snap someone up who is a surprise callup and was ignored by everyone else.

Too bad fantasy leagues can't be set up to allow for September roster expansion, or maybe some can as I don't really do baseball fantasy outside of an AL only and NL only leagues in Yahoo.

But knowing some of your top guys could be pinch hit or pinch run for at any time or your starter might just go 4 since the BP is twice it's normal size can be a bit frustrating.

38 runs against in their last 7 games. Yikes. I'm getting a bad feeling with this pitching staff.

I disagree. It's fun that each park has its own character. I wish more sports adopted this. The idea of variable rink sizes in hockey for example, has a lot of valid arguments. Google it, I know Eric Duhatschuk has written a cool piece on it

My only thing I don’t like about it is they have parameters they have to follow, but like the outfield wall distance just has to be over 200ft. Why is there a hard rule on base distances but you can make the outfield wall any way you like it pretty much.

I’d like it much better if they made a rule where the outfield wall has to be symmetrical. Everything else I would be fine with. No that’s a lie. No hills in the outfield, and BP not in foul territory. I’m surprised no outfielder has blown a knee on the pitcher’s mound in the BP.

But this is a sport that makes changes very rarely on stuff that’s easy, let alone this. So it’ll never happen.

But omg the Jays. This better spark a fire under their bellies for the weekend. But to help people ease off on the sky is falling (almost is tho), the 1993 Jays did go on a 6 game losing streak in September.
