I'm happy for the run they are on, but realistic enough to know a bad streak isn't far behind.

It’s the Marlins, they shouldn’t have gone to a walk-off situation to begin with. But a wins a wins. This lineup is easily the scariest to pitch around I bet, especially at the SKyDome. Reyes, Donaldson, Bautista, Edwin, Martin, Navarro, Travis, and Collabello right now actually. Everyone can go yard. Then you get guys like Pillar who’s shown he has the power, and if guys like Goins can get on base he makes pitchers think about him on base.

Watching the Jays pitch to Stanton shows how important a protected hitter is. You get out Prado and Gordon, then pitch to Stanton, oh no a 1run HR, ok now I’m against a 0.180 Chris Carter. If the Marlins had 1 more power guy, and a solid OnBase guy, Stanton would be insane and that lineup would be scary.

Tip of the hat to the organization for skipping Sanchez tomorrow. Very smart to try to protect that kid's arm.
It would sure be tempting to keep the streak going by starting him, but they're doing the right thing - happy to see it.

That Donaldson trade... wow. The guy is such a complete ball player.
    Brett who?

    8 in a row boys!

Hopefully they won't follow it up with another late season collapse as per usual...

Shows what you know. In Toronto, our sports teams NEVER collapse late in the... oh

My stated goal to start the season - instead of showing promise in the beginning (like always), I wanted to just see them hang in there. 41-40 at the midpoint. Then have a strong second half. Then 90 wins, here we come!

I bet a pitcher and a pound (wings) on 87 wins and two weeks ago it looked grim.

Just hoping they don't give it back in the next 8 games like they have done the last couple of years.

Sorry. Hard not to be pessimistic with these guys.

Yes. Just checked the box score. These 2 have done this a lot over the years. I was at a game one time where Boston scored 6 runs in the 1st and Toronto came back and won it.

I watched this entire game from start to finish in real time!! My buddies didn't believe me when I said it was 13-8, HaHa..

From 8-1 to 13-8.. This team is so much tighter now that Donaldson and Martin are there!!
