Neither Pillar or Pompey are ripping the cover off the ball (so to say) offensively. Statistically, both seem to be producing at a similar pace. Their average is almost identical but Pompey has a better OPS and slugging percentage.

I am not so sure Pompey is going anywhere just yet. Sure, Pillar has made some highlight reel catches out there but it's not like Pompey has done anything to lose his job either.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be a platoon with Saunders against right-handed pitching and Pillar against left-handers. Pompey will still get most of the starts in center but be lifted for a defensive replacement if need be later in the game.

I don't think Pompey is going down at all; or at least not any time soon. Goins was only up to fill in for the injured Travis and Reyes so he's most likely going back down. They DFA'd Todd Redmond so I'm pretty sure the only roster move they have to make to activate Saunders is to option Goins back to Buffalo.

The Jays are one of like 3 teams to be only carrying 3 OF. So they’ll more than likely carry all 4, it’s just who gets to start is the big question.

i'm pretty picky with getting jersey's with names on it for that very reason. My girlfriend actually got me my first named jersey last year and it was a Halladay one. Pick someone who's already retired a legend in the organization and you'll never go wrong lol!
