Yeah, the rookie classes haven't been all that prodigious volume-wise, but that's definitely not everything and there have been some great additions.

2016 was my last full calendar year in university (graduated 2017), and my last school year I was only part-time to finish my degree, so a lot of free time, and it was easier to constantly be on it class but still keep up with only three per semester instead of the seven I had most semesters prior.

IMO 350 was most attainable. Works out to ~11.2 posts/day if my Galactic math is correct. Should see some fun races. It might be over mid-month. 1000 per month is long gone. Good luck to all entering the prestigious race.

I don't know what he was eating that year... but holy cow.

From memory, the month record was quite the chase in 2014-2016.
I think it was at 1100 or 1200... then FastTony, then vitun-thyna, then Axe, then rangerfan2430... and eventually EskimoBrother took turns holding it.

1000 posts itself, in a month, is bonkers.
Averages out to 33 a day. Pretty brutal.
Gotta throw down a bunch of one-liners... hence "Fluff Month": August.

The cool little gold FIFA-like trophy icon that some of us have is from 1000+ posts in a month.

Though... not sure we've had any comment-crazy new users in past 5+ years!

Once I got 209 posts in a month and that was exhausting. I cannot comprehend how anyone could get 500+ or more without just posting "I agree" in every thread and starting threads for every piece of pop culture you encountered and every meal you ate. God bless our valiant combatants.

Yeah, missing out on a mini-milestone hurt. I wasn't even waiting until the 11th hour, I had some things I had to do and I thought there was plenty of time to get back on and get over the 500 post mark. I was really working the fluff that month and was way over my usual post count - when I was new on the boards, I tried to hit at least 100 posts a month and back then it seemed easier to get a higher monthly post count. I have too much on the go to try to hit 500 posts this year, so I don't think I'll be able to find the time. Maybe next year! Ever the optometrist, you see.
