The winner should get some kind of commemorative statue to signify the heights to which they have soared... like an eagle... or a hawk, or even better: a falcon.
That's it, winner of the Millennium challenge should get a falcon statue.
1000 posts in a month is a boat load. You really need to go for one of the biggest total month awards too.

Heck, it took me seven years to hit 1000.. Good luck guys, it's been impressive.
This is damn impressive. I'm averaging just under 1500/year. I can't imagine doing 2/3s of that in one month.
Both post awesome reads but I think Peng can 'engineer' his way to 1000 first!
Pffft!
I could post a boatload too if I wasn't always getting distracted by Internet porn.
Wait, did I just think that or type it?
I think you mean pron.
Always type pron... that way the keystroke will never be on the computer.
Also, my hockey teammates jest that a halfway serious search on thehungergames will turn up good things.
I like some of the clever posts in this thread.
Millenium Falcon award - ah Loch, very nice.
And mojave, I shall try my best to engineer my way to 1000 posts.
In Candy Crush, I've found that I can just reset the date to make more lives, I tried doing that here to make my July 2013 posts into July 2014 posts but it is not working.
Ah, another one down...
I was just thinking about how crazy it is to make 1000 posts in a month, and then I saw P7's post about the "FIFA trophy" and just noticed that I somehow have one of those trophies LOL
I think it must be an error cause I can't imagine ever posting 1000 times in a month... but if it's true, I can't decide whether I should be proud or depressed about the amount of time I once spent on this forum haha
Twas the great 11-11... (November 2011).
It was a crazy busy month... perhaps the busiest in modern (last 5 years) DobberSports forum history.
Post counts from that month (which can be referenced by going to "Top Posters This Month" and then changing dates to 11/11).
# User Posts In 11-2011
1 bigbabybuda 1236
2 blayze 1157
3 mounD 1061
4 bondon 730
5 MT319 718
6 keytolife 576
I think the 1236 (41.2 per day, for 30 Nov days) by bbb is the monthly record, which has it's own trophy.
I'll be chasing to 1001 for July and then I'm done...
These days, I think Axeman33 might be the only user consistently over 500 in a month. (let alone SIX users over 500... and THREE cracking 1000... back in 11/11!!! Wow!)
Axeman is also a runaway leader for 2014 post count leader.
I calc'd it a few days ago... Axeman is at 2600+... Dobber is at about 2100+... I think I'm around 1800+...
No catching him. White flag.
Maybe someone can explain to me why this is supposed to be a good thing?
All that happens is that when quantity goes way up, quality goes way down, so rather than making 100 valuable and helpful posts in a month all you're doing is making 1000 poor quality posts just to hit some magic number that has no reward and no real world value.
Seems childish and foolish to me but don't let me stop you!
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
It's more of a social thing, to be honest.
For my first year or two on the boards, I posted ONLY about fantasy hockey... learning, discussing, asking for advice, giving advice.
As you spend more time - you find that some of the people end up almost as close as being "virtual internet friends".
You join leagues with them, you chat with them, some of the guys have even facebook friended each other! (true! not me, but true!)
Socially, it makes the forums more of a "tight knit" society with more posting in areas like "The Lounge".
While Dobber & the writers are the key pieces that bring people IN to the website... it is the forums that hold the members long-term.
And trust me... the fluff in post quantity isn't in the fantasy hockey advice areas.
Be careful with your comment - I don't think anybody with high quantity posts is sacrificing it when giving advice.
The extra posts are simply in social areas that build the tightness of the community.
There's a group of us that can really smile about things like "the avatar war", "bag of apples", and the "great coloring book of vaginas".
These are things that ALWAYS bring a smile to my face!!!
If you are around to hit your 1000th post... you'll think of quantity in a much different way... hopefully.
