today is my least favorite song so far..
not a fan at all of this song!

It sounds like he's pushing to have his first ever #1 album?!
Today's song, "Sports Song", is (I believe)... a Weird Al original.
But it mocks every College Sports Song that suggest that their team is wonderful, the champion, going to win.
It's... meh.
Creative actually - but doesn't flow well with the pop parodies.
not a big fan of today's video, but the story is so true.
first world problems are truly a joke if you think about it
well after a great start to the album, the last 4-5 songs have been a big fat letdown for me.
But I suppose on every album (recent albums) there have only been a few good ones.
His older stuff is definitely better in my opinion. But that may be because the music in 90's was better than the vomit produced these days too??!! Better opportunity for parodies
Song 6/8: First World Problems (Weird Al original, not a parody)
To be honest, I thought this was pretty entertaining.
Obviously, they are all funner to hear the first time if you know the song from somewhere else... but this one was pretty fun, I thought.
Plus the douchie-wig, gold!
I thought "First World Problems" was alright, but the first three songs were much better than the last few. Just my opinion, but "Word Crimes," "Foil," and "Handy" were the only ones I really enjoyed.

Song 7/8: Lame Claim to Fame. (Weird Al original, not a parody)
Pretty cool "stop-motion" video, but song wasn't that catchy.
Good article when I googled it... suggests that the album might top the Billboard 200 for the week!
That would be pretty cool - and smart marketing, releasing one album per 24 hours obviously kept us interested.

The vid:
Last song of album (8/8), might be pretty good.
It's called "Mission Statement" and all about the phony office-speak phrases used in corporate settings.
Styling is CSN, which makes it a pretty good listen.
The song alone, I'd actually give an A.
Video could make it a B... or an A+.
We shall see!
Video not out (yet), but song is. [Will update video link once released. Anything "office space"-ish, is usually pretty fun for those of us sitting in a cubicle right now! LOL.]
I seen the video already. You can watch it here.
meh, not a fan myself

I agree with this for sure.
Ah! Thanks!
Dutch... you must not be "working for the man".
I thought it was really good.
In my work world life, I've actually shifted from working for a company with 10,000+, to a company with 1000, to my current company with 14 employees.
I like small company life!
[much better than the previous companies where my internet usage was watched!!!]
See the thing with weird all is, I actually think some songs have legit lyrics. First World Problems, I liked a lot, but as a song it isn't something I would listen over and over, unlike the catchy ones he has.
And yes, I work for myself so love that part haha. In my opinion the best solution!!
Sorry for bringing this thread back up, but at 55(ish?) yeard old, Weird Al brought a Comedy Album to #1 on the Billboard charts. This is a phenomenal achievement and this video shows his reaction to it!
