First overall in prospect draft

So our inaugural draft is coming up in which I pick last , but I get first overall in the prospect draft.

Who should I go with in this league

Scoring: Head to Head
Max Moves: 5 moves per week
Max Trades: Unlimited
Goalie Minimum: 2 games
Roster: 4 centres, 4 right wing, 4 left wing, 6 defence, 2 goalies, 4 bench
Scoring Cats: G, A, PTS, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, BLK, HIT, FOW - W, SV%, GAA, SVS Made
Salaries Used: Using NHL Players cap hit
Salary Cap: NHL salary cap + 20 million

Most grateful for perspective, I'm thinking Bennett or Ekblad ?

Why can't you take any prospy? We did a full redraft I took Drouin #1, I prefer Bennett.

I think he is talking about the top team Dobber. Its a 1st time draft. I agree with Dobbers thought process though, maybe you should complete your roster draft first and then see what your needs are from a prospect perspective it might help.

With FOW, I'd take a center.
To be honest... I'm not sure which of Bennett/Reinhart/Draisaitl is the best one on the dot.
You may want to research that... and take a guy that adds a few PIM/HIT as well.

In fantasy hockey, the big defensemen develop late... and the HIT/BLK can be easily found in bargain-price defensemen like Jay Harrison and Kevan Miller.
Ekblad should be take no sooner than #5 in most fantasy formats.

Reinhart is the best of those three in the dot; however, Draisaitl brings the size to survive right away in the NHL, while Bennett is the scrappy "Killer" type who is going to much it up a bit with the Hits/PIMs. So, really, it's whatever you're looking for most out of the draftee. If you want the projectable NHL center, take Draisaitl. If you want the cerebral type, take Reinhart. If you want the jack-of-all-trades, take Bennett. Personally, I would prefer Bennett, as I think he's got a similar offensive ceiling as the others, but he will likely bring the best peripheral contributions. Also, he's essentially a whole development year behind Reinhart/Draisaitl, so IMO his production should be weighed more heavily in comparison.
