Not much to mine - I was born in Winnipeg and lived a good chunk of my life there, so...PrairieDog. (I live on the west coast now).

If I joined today (or even the past 3 or 4 yrs) I would pick something different, but 6 years ago I joined up here and just picked that on a whim. I was living in Calgary at the time so that probably helped with it too. Of course we have the option to change it every once in a while when Dobber offers it, but everyone knows me by this so I'll stick with it..and the rookie Teemu avatar

People always tried to give me a nickname, but they never stuck. All the way back in grade 4, a cute girl gave me the nickname "Austeane". It just happened to be the week I opened a hotmail account! Since then, I've found that it is a relatively short, relatively unembarassing, username that is never ever ever taken. I use it for everything!

Oddly enough there are more results for potato salad recipe than vagina coloring book. Wasn't always the case on this forum, but it seems a lot of our posts in the lounge from the lockout days are missing. So very very sad that....

Took Glorybe out of a Bootsy Collins song - "Well a glory be, the funks on me bobble, keep that funk alive" - thought hey that sounds cool!
That was 10 years ago, it stuck, became my animation business name for a few years.

Had no idea it was used in so much religious stuff, till at an animation festival, people screamed out "glory be", with their hands in the air "praise jesus", after I gave them my business card.
I wondered why people thought I only made religious shows.
(fyi I don't make religious shows)

I better respond since I helped prompt this thread!

When I went to college they assigned us usernames based off the first four letters of our last name (letn) and then the first two letters of our first name (ry), so therefore mine was letnry and I guess it has just stuck since.

No, I don't think I'm godlike. I picked the old nordic god Wotan (aka Odin, father of Thor) for these reasons:
    - Wotan is blind on one eye and so am I (keep telling your kids to not throw fir cones at each other!!)
    - Wotan is said to be a man/god of words, books, poetry and stuff and I'm a language teacher.
    - Wotan's attributed animals are the raven and the wolf - nothing about the raven, but my family name is Wolfensberger ("berg" means mountain in Swiss German, so my ancestor was a knight whose title you could roughly translate into "the one from the mountain of the wolves".
    - And finally he was a rough, tough guy from the ice, also an icon for battle, war, victory (and death) which is fitting for our beloved sport of hockey.

Acadia University is 10 minutes down the road from where I grew up in the Annapolis Valley. Their hockey team (Acadia Axemen) has always been been a huge draw and I love watching University hockey because of it. Thats where the Axeman part comes from. 33 is my hockey number (yes I am a goalie in real life) and since Axeman by itself was already taken when I joined the forums, I simply added the two together.

I used to have a huge mullet and drink a lot. My hair would often end up soaked in rum in the process, leading it to become commonly referred to as a "Mane of Rum". Switch those letters around and there you have it.
