Will Junior Hockey Ban Fighting?

One of the issues that I have been following closely is fighting in junior hockey. The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) and USA Hockey have taken significant steps to curtail and make fighting less frequent in their games. (click to view)

Could definitely see fighting become extinct in juniors, liability issues are extreme, but it will take time.

Its still going to be around for a while, just not that important anymore. Hard to hold a roster spot for someone who plays under 4 min a game.
You need tough guys to be able to skate and handle the puck now.

It'll start at this level and eventually end up in the NHL. I really do think fighting is going to go the way of helmets and visors. Player safety will eventually overcome old school mentalities.

Yeah that's the way for the NHL to address it without actually addressing it and dealing with the same amount of heat.
