I remember reading a tweet that MacKenzie sent out (I think it was yesterday) when he said this was probably one of the hardest rankings when it comes to compiling consensus from the GMs. A lot of differing values.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, SBennett

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

    He mentioned it again today.

Quick follow up on TSN Draft Rankings: it's never been more difficult to assemble the list than this year. More difficult to get consensus.

I suspect reasonable # - 23 to 27 is usual range - of Top 30 will go in 1st round. As usual, guys ranked in 30s interchangeable with 20s.

Beyond 35, opinions on players are wildly scattered. I wouldn't be surprised if more than half of guys ranked 31-60 don't go in 2nd round.

I find the log jam to be between the 4th pick all the way to the 20th selection..

From everything I've learned about the prospects, the groupings are closer to:
    1. Ekblad
    2-4. Reinhart/Bennett/Draisitl
    5-11.
    12-20ish.

Be interesting to see if anybody reaches in the top 11 for Perlini/Fabbri/Fiala.
At #12, this is the highest I've seen Dylan Larkin listed.

It's funny to look at the differences between McKenzie's rankings and Button's rankings.

    Noteable players:

Jake Virtanen - 7 by McKenzie, 43 by Button
Brayden Point - 58 by McKenzie, 17 by Button
Travis Sanehim - 24 by McKenzie, 8 by Button
Roland McKeown - 25 by McKenzie, 51 by Button
Adrian Kempe - 28 by McKenzie, 10 by Button
Robby Fabbri - 14 by McKenzie, 28 by Button
Jack Dougherty - 35 by McKenzie, 81 by Button
Vlad Kamenev - 43 by McKenzie, 12 by Button
Thatcher Demko - Ranked as the best goalie by McKenzie, 3rd best by Button

I'm leaning towards McKenzie heavily on al of those rankings. Is there anyone you think Button is more correct about?

You cant really compare the two. MacKenzie's is more of a mock draft based on the consensus of GMs polled on certain players. Button's isn't a mock draft at all. His list is basically his opinion on how he feels the players will end up as far as their long term abilities. Its his own assessment, not necessarily how he thinks the draft will go.

I have a feeling some teams are going to reach for a centerman in the 8-15 pick range..
