They will have to make room for their young talent on the blueline like Stone and Gormley, and OEL is on the cusp of being elite himself. If the Yotes can swing him for a very good forward and a young guy or two, then why wouldn't they?
Keith Yandle seems to be in trade rumors every year. Is this the year he's finally dealt?

Championships are won with strong defense. I dont see why they would think that Yandle is expendable. They have two more years at a very reasonable 5.25m cap hit. He's reliable and good. They probably would love to have more of players like him, not less.
BUT.... stranger things have happened. I guess if someone made the right offer he could be sold. I just dont understand the motivation for doing so.

I think this is possibly the year to trade him as the FA pool is so shallow and there are a few teams that would love to add him and would pay a pretty steep price to do so (EDM and PHI immediately spring to mind) if the Yotes can add some offence it certainly makes sense I guess the question is whether they can then unlock it based on their system...
Can't see the Yotes moving Yandle, but the Oilers seem like a perfect trading partner.
