I like this deal for you, I think Schneider is an upgrade on Howard, especially long term, and the same can be said for Barkov over Turris (long term)
Only caveat being that I suspect with your scoring settings you will take a hit for next year.
Hey all, been trying to acquire Schneider and it looks like Turris+Howard will do it. He will only be giving Schneider but this enables me to keep Barkov with my available keeper spot. Thoughts on this? Will Turris excel as Ottawas #1C or will Schneider struggle for wins and be underwhelming in his first full starter season? I really like Barkov and think Florida will have a surprising bounce back season offensively and on the PP. I'm also not totally sold on Howard. Thoughts?

I think Schneider will struggle for wins but it won't be because of his skill, more so the make up of NJ as a team. I think his strong GAA and Sv% this season should be a pretty good indicator of what we'll see from him going forward, but I don't see him having much scoring from the team in front of him.
I've never cared for Howard so I like Schneider > Howard in a heart beat. This season you'll likely see Turris outscore Barkov, but longterm Barkov should be a better option.
Nice trade. If its a 2 for 1, wonder if you can upgrade a later round draft pick?
If not, I still would do this deal for Schneider.

I would be all over this deal. You're already getting the best player in the deal with Schneider and you can keep Barkov, who I like over Turris longterm as well. You can try for a draft pick upgrade if you like, but I'd be worried at him taking the deal off the table and would just accept it as is.
Pump up Turris as #1 center in Ottawa and see if you can get a draft pick. "If you don't ask the answer is always no"
Thinking he wants Turris because of this reason, and that Detroit will be on the upswing again. Schneider is the best player in deal and if that is who you want then get him as it is basically a 1 for 1 for you as you have a great lternate keeper with good upside.
