Whoa. That would be big news.
His son Stan (who Patrick Kane lives with) is the assistant GM with Chicago right now.
This comes from Andy Strickland, a very reliable blogger on the idiot\'s website.

Sources have indicated to me that NHL legend Scotty Bowman has been offered a position with the Blackhawks in which Bowman would oversee everything regarding hockey operations.
His son Stan (named after the Stanley Cup) is currently the Assistant General Manager, Hockey Operations with the club.
Word is Bowman is expected to accept the job.
Whoa. That would be big news.
That would be an interesting development. It\'d certainly help put Chicago back on the map.

i trust strickland about as far as i can throw him, but that sounds like a reasonable rumour.
sucks to be dale tallon right now.. he was doing such a good job. and now he gets a legend looking over everything he does? ouch.
good news for hawks fans though, tallon\'s ego aside.
wow that\'s huge, I don\'t think there\'s a team past, present or future that Scotty can\'t turn into a cup contender, whether he\'s behind the bench or behind the scenes he\'s gold
Crazy that he\'ll possibly be joining the division rival of the team he dominated with behind the bench (and the team that still dominates today without him)...
Anyone else see him on the ice celebrating with them when they won the cup this year? I sure did. It sure would be interesting if Bowman is a part of a new dynasty in the central division that wipes out his old one.

Is it just me who finds it hilarious that Bowman\'s son is named after the Stanley Cup?
When Bowman was rumored to run Toronto, it supposedly fell apart on the point that Bowman requested that MLSE wouldn\'t interfere with any hockey decisions. I would imagine Bowman would request the same thing from Rocky Wirtz. However, Dale Tallon has been doing a good job after a rocky start to his tenure. Would Tallon stay as GM playing second fiddle to Bowman?
GO WINGS!
its amazing to me that the Leafs are the most valuable franchise in the league but are so horribly managed. I guess its a matter of \'too many cooks in the kitchen\' to some degree but still, if they only realized that the team could put an Atom team on the ice and still make a fortune they\'d take a hands off approach and leave the hockey decisions to the people who actually know what they\'re doing

The rumor has officially been debunked by Bowman himself:
