Yes, you are lucky he didn't have second thoughts. In most leagues MacKinnon's price starts at an established star (think Eric Staal, Anze Kopitar, Rick Nash) and in some is much, much more (Giroux, Hall, even Malkin)

What a steal! i sold Mack this offseason for 4 quality players. my league is ROTO and the return was:

Fleury
Skinner
B. Shenn
McDonagh

Look for other prospects you can steal, Drouin maybe. With that Mack trade their value may be unreasonably low.
