He was probably misquoting me. But I said "best and effective". The Italians are a side that should make a deep run

Sorry EV, I meant to say that to the Whale indeed. But I figured it was you cause you are the Italian lover here lol.

still can't believe someone calls Italy's play "one of the best and effective brands of soccer" lol. Snoozefest ala New Jersey Devils hockey is more like it.

France played a "nice" diving game today as well. My goodness I can't stand that team. France & Italy living up to their reputation in my books

Italy played very well in their opener. When they play a team that presses together they will have to switch their style and tempo.

Then we'll see if they can adjust.

    italy World cups: 4

    Holland world cups: 0

Their style suits them just fine. Regardless, this year they have two dangerous scoters in Balotelli and Immobile as well as Pirlo who as I said is god.

Basically every soccer team can be compared to hockey's New Jersey devils though

Ah by the way be prepared to be disappointed by the German national Team. My Country is so overhyped it is not even funny.

Italy or Argentina for the win IMO. Columbia will advance quite far as well.

Not even remotely true. That is only said for those who don't appreciate the game.

And Id rather Cassano to Immobile anyday.

    Pirlo is amazing though.

It's funny how Dutch doesn't appreciate structured 'boring' soccer yet loves the Preds.

And the Germans are not overhyped at all. They are a favourite to win this tourny for a reason. Depth! So much depth.

I appreciate the game. Doesn't mean all of sudden you have teams that are pure run and gun.

Immobile is a young star. He's definitely more highly regarded than Cassano

You said all teams are basically compared to the New Jersey style. A trap style.

And that isn't true at all.

And, even if it were true, which it isn't, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing like you guys making it out to be. I for one love structured team play and goalless draw is just as exciting to me as a high scoring affair. If you think offense equals entertainment than you wont agree with what I'm saying.

And Immobile has had a better year and is in better form RIGHT NOW. If Italy needs a goal in a knockout game, I would bet that Cassano gets subbed in before Immobile.
