    Default Kulikov's future?

Just joined an established 14-team H2H full keeper league, taking over a middle-of-the-pack team. 17 offensive scoring categories are used, pretty much every one you can imagine. Getting to know my roster and wanted some input on Kulikov.

My team's d-man roster is here, with Fantasy Points from the just-completed season as well:
    Active:
    Byfuglien : 749
    Pietrangelo : 668.5
    Shattenkirk : 709.25
    Meszaros : 253.75
    Barrie : 518.5
    Hamonic : 268.25
    Irwin : 281.75

    Farm:
    Gudbrandson : 174.75
    Rundblad : 21.75
    Sproul : 1.75
    Clendening
    Nurse
    Reinhart

Kulikov was just dropped to the wire today, and I'm trying to determine if I should put in a claim. Kulikov tallied 238 FPts this past season. I'm at the 22-player max for active roster, so I'd have to drop someone to claim Kulikov. How does Kulikov stack up to who I have, in particular Meszaros, Hamonic & Irwin? Is this kid ever going to "get it" and become a fantasy force on the FLA blueline? Where's he top out at? This past season was basically his 5th complete season in the NHL, with stats of 81GP, 8G, 11A, 19Pts, -26, 66PIM, 127SOG, 5PPP. Underwhelming, right?

    Thanks for any input.

    I'd drop Rundblad for him.

My league includes hits and blocks so I think he's more relevant actually. I have enough players where I could drop a prospect for him, since our McCain club rosters are 26 max. My league has farm streaming also... Silfverberg is still considered a prospect..

    I wouldn't unless he's farm eligible.

Agreed. If he's not farm eligible then drop Mesjaros if you really want to make room. Cheers.

For a middle of the pack Team that has not the urge to win now i roll the dice with Kulikov over Meszaros. The guy has progressed in the second half of the season after the 1st one was crappy. With a steady partner and real coaching his stock could very well rise.

I'd drop Meszaros for Kulikov in a heartbeat.

Kulikov has sort of plateaued for now... but I'd take him over Meszaros without question. He's still young and the Panthers will start improving in 2014-15.
