Default Who Stays and Who Goes For the Red Wings This Offseason?

Who do you guys think the Wings should keep this offseason? The Wings have 11 guys who have played this year with expiring contracts so a lot of major decisions will have to be made. Below are my personal thoughts on who should stay and who should go.

I think that your breakdown in that article looks pretty good.

Samuelsson, Bertuzzi, Cleary, Emmerton, and Gustavsson are as good as gone IMO. Legwand and Quincey might end up returning. I can picture Alfie returning for a season too. Even if he doesn't there is still more than enough veteran experience to keep the team on track and those youngsters are more than ready for a steady job with the Wings.

Really great, well written article. I've seen a lot of subpar articles lately, but I've gotta say: yours was pretty damn good. While I think the Wings are probably going to wait AT LEAST another season before giving Ryan Sproul a full-time roster spot, he should be a dandy once he finally arrives. Otherwise, I think your analysis here is pretty spot-on.

    Good stuff. +Rep

    Nice article.

It's fun to watch the new core of Red Wings players cycle into the fold. Of course they still have Zetts, Dats, Kronwall, Howard etc but I am really excited about Nyquist, Tatar, Jurco, Smith, Dekeyser, Mrazek.

I'd like to see the Wings find a way to move Franzen out and keep infusing very good young talent.

Bertuzzi, Samuelsson,Legward and Cleary will be gone.
