Default Hedman's phantom SHP last night?

    Anyone else see that?
Montreal turned it over on at the blueline on Johnson's shortie and hedman was later given an assist even though he was 10 feet away from the play!

Anyone else losing the SHP category due to the phantom point?

I hate SHP as a fantasy category, it's just too random for me.

I tried googling to see this play, but wasn't able to find it...

I watched is on NHL.com video section.
The play was against the near boards so you can't see the puck on that shot, but during the replay it appears that a Hedman poke check is what caused the turnover. I think it is a legit point.

The poke check was made by Hedman. Did he actually touch the puck or did he push Desharnais' stick blade? Either way, I feel he deserves that assist since DD did not cough up the puck and Johnson would have never been able to get that breakaway had Hedman not made that move. I don't think the NHL will zoom in on the play to see the exact point of contact on that pokecheck to overturn the assist so consider it a done deal.

Hedman slashed Deharnais in the gloves as he attempts a drop pass to Vanek which he misses and sends TJ on a breakaway!

I just took a gamble this week and added Helm and Read to attempt a steal on the SHP category and the guy I am playing gets this gifted one!

Hedman owners unite, especially those with SHP's in categories. Didn't see play, we need a break once in a while.

It was Desharnais, I'm pretty sure! I remember yelling at the TV last night when it happened and DD's name was the one that came out along with a couple of cusses here and there!

Hedman touched the puck with his mind.

I think Hedman touched the puck, or at least Desharnais' stick propelling the puck toward the neutral zone. In my opinion, the SHP and Assist will stand as a legit point. Sorry OP ...

Just sad what they are doing to create more points and offense!

League is going to shit in that regard!

Allowed to kick it in next year!
and heard someone talking about the NHL allowing glove passes not just in your own end down the road too!

Gretzky's records are safe regardless of what the NHL does down the road.
