Reyes' Hammy couldnt make it out of the 1st Inning

Well that didn’t take very long.
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes left today’s game after leading off in the first innings with a fly out to center field. It wasn’t originally known exactly why Reyes was pulled but has battled hamstring issues during spring training, which have plagued him throughout his career.
As I write this, it’s been confirmed – Reyes is out with left hamstring tightness according to John Lott of the National Post.
Reyes injured himself early in the 2013 season as well, albeit a lot more severely, on an awkward slide into second base against the Kansas City Royals. Hopefully it’s just a precaution but with five years remaining on his contract Blue Jays fans are hoping the issue doesn’t become a recurring theme for the superstar shortstop.
Reyes batted .296/.353/.427 for the Blue Jays in 93 games during the 2013 season. We’ll have more on this developing story as the information becomes available.
