He is a very talented goaltender and a workhorse. He will recover from the hip woes. I would consider him top 7 going forward. Used to be top 3-5, but he ain't sliding much lower than that in my books. He is as legit as they come. Wins and steals games all by himself.Originally Posted by Hanna14

Can't see Mazanek, Hutton or Hellberg overtaking him for top dog in Nas. That should be reason enough to hang on to him.
I believe the Preds only get better next season and he regains his form.

Yup Zatkoff got me the win but we dont get goalie assists on yahoo for some reason. Gave up 3 but Lehts saved my GAA and SV %

Glad I jumped ship when I did. That kinda injury could linger for gawd knows how long. Managed to snap off a few trades that landed me bob instead of Rinne. Thank the baby Jesus!

I hope he bounces back, I really do (for Hockey...but not so much for Fantasy as I said, I chose to jump ship) but hip injuries, much like Groin Injuries for Goalies scare the Bejeezuz outta me!

What happened to Rinne? Offseason hip surgery and a NASTY infection ... Pretty simple. He's still a top-5 option for next season and beyond. Don't overthink this one. Tim Thomas won the frickin' Vezina after the SAME surgery ... seriously, guys. Don't be dumb on this one.

This...he's an elite goalie coming off a serious surgery, it's unfair to expect him to return to form so quickly at this point. Often in these cases there is lingering pain/inflammation/swelling, etc and the player just feels 'off' which makes it impossible for them to play at their best. Give him the full offseason to recover and rehab and get his timing and focus back and he'll return to form.
