Completely forgot about this today! Busy Sunday... sorry gents.

Studs

Is He Back?
Claude Giroux has been reminding people why they drafted him early in their drafts lately and that continued last night. Giroux popped a power play, game winning-goal to go along with an assist, a +1 rating, 2 minutes in the box and a 60% faceoff percentage as the Flyers trounced the Islanders 5-2. If you were able to buy low on Giroux earlier this season, good for you! I tried, but to no avail.

Sensational!
Clarke MacArthur, Bobby Ryan, Erik Karlsson and Patrick Wiercioch each had 2-point nights as the Senators took the Red Wings down 4-2. MacArthur has been especially effective lately, scoring 5 points in his last three games.

How Long Can This Go On?!
The Toronto Maple Leafs were heavily out-shot once again, this time by the Washington Capitals, and once again, the Leafs were able to come up with a victory thanks to goalie James Reimer. Reimer stood on his head, stopping 49 of 50 shots en route to a 2-1 win. This can't keep happening, can it?

Duds

Sid the Dud
Crosby won a pathetic 6 of 27 faceoffs last night while registering a -1 and 0 points in a 3-2 loss to Montreal last night. Not what we've come to expect from the kid, and I'm sure it's the exception rather than the rule. Everyone has bad days, even the world's elite.

Lehton 'Em All In...
Kari Lehtonen was awful last night for a Dallas squad that didn't play nearly as badly as the 6-1 score reflects. Lehtonen allowed 5 goals on only 18 shots, effectively killing his team's chances against the powerful St. Louis Blues.

Cooling Off
After a crazy hot start to the season, Frans Nielsen seems to be quieting down. He was held off the scoresheet in last night's loss to the Flyers and came away with a -2 rating. If you drafted Nielsen this year, hopefully you were lucky enough to capitalize on his hot start and deal him for more than he's worth!
