Great work, thanks for all the articles.
Greetings Dobberites! This marks my last entry to the Studs & Duds column. It was a lot of fun filling in last season and contributing to this year as well. Thanks for reading and giving me the opportunity to publish my thoughts on the Wednesday night games. If you're interested in replacing me, get in touch with the powers that be and go forth proudly! See you guys on the forums.
Studs
Patrik Elias
After being injured for two weeks, Elias returned to the lineup and went scoreless for two games but last light he filled the boxscore with three assists including the game-tying feed to Jaromir Jagr. Elias now has 10 points in 13 games.
Sidney Crosby
Sid fired home an absolutely beautiful goal from the left side of the net down on one knee that capped off a beautiful four-man passing play that left the Caps mesmerized.
Mikko Koivu
Koivu had a monster of a night with a goal and two assists including the game winner in the third period. He continues to have a solid season.
Duds
Alexander Ovechkin
Ovie lost the battle of the superstars as he was held to a season-low two shots on goal against the Penguins. The Caps weren’t able to sneak not even one goal by Fleury and the Pens. He did have 6 hits if that awards you any points in your format.
Craig Anderson
The Ottawa net minder is starting to draw some criticism that his form isn’t what it was last season. He let in four goals from the 25 shots he faced in the loss. Anderson drops to 5-7 on the year and thus far hasn’t provided owners with what they were expecting.
Jason Spezza
The Sens could have used a huge night from the high powered center man but he managed to fill the score sheet with zeroes. He finished the night with 3 shots and minus-2 which in a lot of leagues means a very low point total.
Great work, thanks for all the articles.
