Default Overpowered C's - How am I looking so far?

Hey everyone so I originally posted about this at the beginning of the fantasy season when I realized that Centers were highly overpowered in my league thanks to my best friend commissioner who didn't listen to my stat advice BEFORE he set the league.

Here's the breakdown of my league stat categories:

    1-Year/8 Team/H2H Yahoo League
    G(3) A(1.5) +/-(1) PIM(0.5) PPP(1) SHG(2) SHA(1) SOG(0.5) FW (.25) HIT(.25) BLK (.25) GS(1) W(3) L(-1) GA(-1) SV(0.5) SO(3)

As you'll notice Faceoff Wins is worth .25 points, as are hits, which means that Centermen are the most powerful players in the league. It means someone like Pavel Datsyuk or even Tomas Plekanec is more valuable in this league than Bobby Ryan or Martin St. Louis. Below please find my current team and the positions per week. Also, rosters are set on Monday so there's no changing in the middle of the week.

    C: R. Getzlaf, J. Thornton
    LW: M. Duchene, A. Steen
    RW: Ovechkin, J. Pavelski
    D: D. Phaneuf, D. Wideman, M. Green
    Util: K. Turris
Bench: M. Lucic, M. St. Louis, V. Filpulla
    IR: B. Burns

In any case I wanted to check in and get the community's collective advice again moving forward, it's been very good thus far, as I currently sit atop the standings at 3-1, but there are other teams gaining on me...

For this week I benched St. Louis in favor of Turris on Util since Turris is doing really well these days for Ottawa.

Now I think my defense could use some help while Brent Burns is out. I picked up Mike Green at the end of last week and am hoping he'll start picking up his pace but I still think I could replace Wideman. Phaneuf hasn't been playing well but there's no way I'll drop him.

Here's a short list of some of the available d-men:
    Ryan McDonagh NYR - D
    Torey Krug Bos - D
    Erik Johnson Col - D
    Cam Fowler Anh - D
    Dan Boyle SJ - D

I'm thinking McDonagh to be honest, he's playing exceptionally well and could sustain for the year.

So what are people's thoughts...how can I continue to dominate this money league I'm in this year?

Wideman has been pretty solid so far.
If I'm you... I probably just roster that 3rd D-slot for schedule density (guys that have a lot of upcoming games, hopefully 4 in calendar week).

    Congrats on a good start!
Just curious... where does Boyd Gordon stack up in this league compared to MSL?
    How many points for each?

Boyd Gordon - 98.25 points (4% owned in Yahoo!)
Martin St. Louis - 79.50 points (100% owned in Yahoo!)

ridiculous huh? I feel like I can trade high on St. Louis right now...

Yup, I remember your league well.
A guy like Antoine Vermette is also going to be a powerhouse in this league.

But, as I recall, you have to keep your secret covered.
If you dominate this league, others will emulate your strategy.

By the way: Is the big PRIZE for the regular season's best record... or just the playoff champ?

Managers have slightly caught on. Guy at my heels picked up Vermette before I could...

    His lineup is this:

    Jason Spezza Ott - C
    Patrice Bergeron Bos - C
    Antoine Vermette Pho - LW
    Tomas Hertl SJ - LW
    Corey Perry Anh - RW
    David Backes StL - RW
    Mikko Koivu Min - Util

    Daniel Sedin - BN
    Chrios Kunitz - BN

His two goalies are Lundqvist and Rask, so I've got one hell of a challenge from this guy.

As far as the big prize, its all playoffs. So really, regular season doesn't matter unless for seeding and then it's really anyone's game. I could have a single bad week in playoffs and be out having won 1st place in regular season.

If this is the case I would look into your playoff schedule and see who you will get the most games from. That will help you narrow down your options. Also definitely shop St Louis, his name value should outweigh his actual value in your setup.
