That's still a great deal in a keeper league. I would have done it even knowing that he would miss a significant chunk of this season.

Can't be faulted for that man...picking up a guy who quite often is mentioned with the best 3 to 5 players in the league...all for 30/30 man ryan in an unknown environment and Mr. Jiroslipped and hurt himself Halak... I'd have done it too. This is just bum luck.

Didn't look good but I hope he recovers quickly.

Now is the time to grab Filppula if you can. I drafted him as I had him pegged as a great sleeper and he's done alright, but his production should take a good jump as I imagine he will be moved to the top line and may see an increase in pp time.

Sorry man. Maybe he will make it back for the last month and you can salvage something in time for the playoffs.

So what say you Dr. CDubb? Broken Tibia? Prognosis? I guess you really can't say unless you saw the Xrays to see how displaced it is, plus, successful surgery would be necessary too.

    Either way...SUX! Get Better 91

My sentiments exactly. **** that would hurt. The guy is a special player. The good news is that his prior successful off ice training is a great foundational precursor to his rehab. I wish him the best.

I knew as soon as I saw Stammer pounding the ice, something was very, very wrong. This guy is one of the toughest players in the league, he doesn't get hurt. He's also one of the strongest players in the NHL pound for pound...in elite-level shape. Absolutely gut wrenching....I felt a little nauseous afterwards and still do a bit at the time of this post. Just hoping he's not gone too long...for the sake of Stamkos health/career and the Lightning's season.

Man, TB's only got 1 leg to stand on now. Stamkos was their crutch... Tibia honest, maybe we should just have a femural service for TB now?

All kidding aside hope he gets back to 100%, one of the most exciting players to watch.

If that wasnt bad enough heres the rotoworld quote going into the game...

"Steve Stamkos will be looking for breakthrough performance against Boston on Monday afternoon."
