Justin Incredible - Carolina Hurricane Goaltender Justin Peters put in what could be described as his best game of his career in the 1-0 shutout victory of the New York Islanders. Peters made save after save on his way to a 21 save performance. Peters who has only given up one goal in the last two games hopes his strong play will earn him a spot on Team Canada in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Caped Crusaders – Detroit Red Wing forwards Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg continued their Chris Angel like magic in the 4-3 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars. Instead of turning a bag of popcorn into a bowl of popcorn the Dynamic Duo combined for 1 goal, 4 assists and 6 SOG. These 2 are locks to be in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Seen Stamkos? – Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos potted 2 goals on 5 shots in the 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Stamkos now has 13 goals on the season which is good for 2nd overall in the NHL. All Stamkos does is score goals and you have to wonder why his own dad traded him away? Stamkos is a lock to play for Team Canada in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Duds

Where are the Flyers? I am of course talking about all the stars on the Philadelphia Flyers. Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Jakub Vorecek, Wayne Simmonds and Vincent Lecavalier. These 5 guys combined for zero goals, zero assists and was a minus 5 in the 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils. These 5 guys have only combined for 8 goals, 16 assists for 24 points. Crosby by himself has scored 8 goals, 15 assists for 23 points. These 5 guys should be watching the 2014 Winter Olympics from their living room couch.

No bite in this Shark - San Jose Goaltender Antti Niemi had possibly the worst game of his life in lasts nights 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Niemi lasted only 25 minutes while giving up 4 goals on just 13 shots for a 0.692 save %. Alex Stalock came in to clean up the mess and he stopped all 21 shots he faced. Niemi should make Team Finland for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
