Stepan Up!
After being conspicuously quiet so far this season, Derek Stepan exploded for 3 goals on 7 shots, including one power play marker to go along with a +2 rating. Let's hope this is the beginning of Stepan building on his breakout season from last year!
Helping Out
Patric Hornqvist was integral in Nashville's 4-3 win over the Kings last night, putting up 3 assists with 2 coming on the power play, a +2 rating, 4 blocks and 1 hit.
Calling for Back-up
I can only assume that Jeff Zatkoff is owned in nothing but the absolute deepest leagues, but he had a nice outing against Columbus posting 19 saves for a 3-0 shutout, the first of his career in only his third career NHL game.

Play Like You're Still in Junior
Oh Lars Eller, you're going to be hearing about that junior team comment for a looooong time, especially when you shit the bed like you did last night against the Avalanche. Lars was a -3, but managed 1 shot and 1 hit...
Seriously, Edmonton?
The Oilers got shutout for the second game in a row, falling 5-0 to Detroit. Patience must be wearing thin for Oilers fans and the owners of players like Nugent-Hopkins, Yakupov and Eberle. It feels like this team is never going to reach its potential.
Ondraped.
14 shots against, 4 goals against. Not a good afternoon for Mr. Pavelec, who got yanked early in the second against the Hawks.
