Its Scary to be this good! - New York Ranger goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist was spooktackular on Halloween night. Lundqvist stopped all 29 shots he faced in the 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres. This is Lundqvist’s 2nd Shut Out in the last 4 games and now has 46 for his career. When asked he was distracted by all the Halloween costumes in the stands, Lundqvist’s response “What’s Halloween? New Yorkers dress like this everyday!”

Its the Monster Mash - Halloween is all about Monsters and such and that is what Nashville Predator forward David Legwand was on Halloween Night. Legwand had a goal and 2 assists in the 3-0 win over the Phoenix Coyotes. That was the treat, the trick was not to do it all in the 1st period and then go silent the rest of the night.

Its trick or treating time!
– Anaheim Duck forward Mathieu Perreault went trick or treating last night against the Boston Bruins. Perreault who was wearing his Teemu Selanne costume scored a goal and assisted on another in the 3-2 shoot out loss to the Boston Bruins. Perreault finished the night with 3 shots and was a plus 2 in 14:48 of action.

Duds

Just plain ugly – Nashville Predator goalkeeper Carter Hutton was absolutely brutal in last nights 5-4 shoot out loss to the Phoenix Coyotes. Hutton who said before the game that he loves to steal kids candy on Halloween allowed 4 goals on just 25 shots for a 0.840 save %. This is Huttons 2nd bad game in a row and Nashville can only hope for a quick recovery for Pekka Rinne.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde - Phoenix Coyote goalkeeper Thomas Greiss was both in last nights 5-4 shoot out win against the Nashville Predators. Greiss was Mr Hyde when he allowed 3 goals on just 11 shots for a .727 save % in the 1st period. But from the 2nd period on Dr Jekyll showed up and Greiss stopped 28 of 29 shots for .966 save %. Greiss also stopped all 5 shots he faced in the shoot out.
