Edit: double post
Well fellas, it looks like I'm stepping in to bring you tonight's Studs & Duds - DerekReese is taking the night off. The real question - why is DerekReese taking the night off?
a) Hot Date
b) Too Tired - and has to work in the morning
c) Hot Date and Too Tired (Derek is a stud?)
d) Derek is saving himself for the next edition of "Derek's Corner"
Answer: See the end of tonight's edition of Studs & Duds.
STUDS
Steven Stamkos
Following the stud-like performance displayed in his recent Coke Zero commercial, Stamkos leaped into the top five in league scoring last night with a four point night. Two goals, two assists, plus two, four shots on goal, four PIMS, and a take-away easily overshadowed his paltry 33% at the face-off dot. I still can't believe Stammer's Dad traded him for Eberle.

Raskrejci
A couple of Bruins came together to hand San Jose their first loss in regulation this season.
David Krejci scored the game winning goal with one second left to seal a night that also saw him pick up an assist, post three shots on goal, sacrifice for two blocked shots, and finish with a plus one rating. Krejci also owned the face-off circle winning 71% on the night.
Tuukka made 38 saves and allowed just one goal against the high powered Shark offense. Rask definitely took goalie of the night honors.
Dwight King
It was a night to remember for Dwight King - and GMs in salary cap leagues are happier than DerekReese on a hot date. King notched his first career hat-trick, went plus three, had three shots on goal, and added one hit. All in just 16 minutes of ice time.
Stud Honorable Mentions
Chiasson - 2G, 1A, +2, 2PIM, 5 SOG
Benn - 2G, 7 SOG, +2, 3 Hits
Kopitar - 1G, 2A, 5 SOG, +2, 3 BLKs
DerekReese - Rounding first base on a first date............impressive?
DUDS
Carle/Gudas/Bishop
It's not every night you see the same team post the Stud of the night and the Dud of the night. Congratulations to the Tampa trio that came together to score one of the most awkward tip-in goals that you will ever see by watching the video from the link below.

The Bulin Wall
Those who decided to give Nikolai Khabibulin a spot start tonight cost themselves. Six goals against, just 19 saves, and a save percentage of .760. This is how a goalie finds himself going from NHL back-up to waiver wire fodder and retired in a matter of weeks.
Mike Smith/Kari Ramo/Claude Giroux
RAM-O: 24 saves, 5 GAA, .853% - a brutal night for the Flames all around.
Smith: 11 saves, 4 GAA, .733% - pulled after the first period.
Giroux: Two shots, two PIMs, two give-aways, one hit. Still invisible and frustrating poolies in all leagues.
Answer: A gentleman never tells on another gentleman. Ask Derek yourself on the next "Derek's Corner".
Cheers.
