This was on the wall all last season. He\'s annoyned the hell out of me since Tampa won the cup and lost Khabby. A prolific goalie killer over the last 3 years - calling out Grahame in the playoffs to the press was sad and somewhat pathetic. His arrogance about his coaching and decision making was intolerable - he was basically saying all year that he was doing everything right and wouldn\'t change a thing!!

Thanks for the memories John - Chances are you\'ll end up in Toronto! or worse yet Atlanta!

I think Torts is a great coach and I would want him to coach my team. How can you say he is a goalie killer. Khabibulin isn\'t even that good, maybe he was in the playoffs when they won the cup but really he ain\'t no stud. Those other goalies you have mentioned were all crap and wouldn\'t even be starting for any of my fantasy teams.

Denis, Holmqvist, Grahame, etc. They were all dead as far as good goaltending goes before Torts got ahold of them all.

yeah if anyone can whip the Sens into shape and prevent their inevitable slide in May its probably him...I don\'t understand why people don\'t like him, all he did in Tampa was win...before he joined on the Lightning were the joke of the league.

I\'d love to see Torts with the Sens as well.

He\'s hard on his guys and is not afraid to call out superstars.

He\'s partially responsible for Lecavalier being the player his has become today.

He called out some of his players during the early rounds of Tampa\'s 2004 cup run, and the result was everybody elevating their play and winning the whole inchalata.

The Sens, especially Spezza, need a guy like that as their bench boss.

True that the goalie situation in Tampa was pretty bad but as a coach you should be able to get the best out of your players, not the worst.

Torts seemed to have a knack of destryoing any semblance of confidence that his goalies had. He wouldn\'t let a goalie play through a \"rough\" spell and when he decided to run a goalie into the ground he had no back up plan so he would have to use the goalies he had.

Anyways looks like he won\'t be heading to TO - too bad Dobbs! Now that Wilson is in town how many times will McCabe be a healthy scratch next year?
