Does anyone know when they announce what the cap will be for next year, or maybe roughly when it will be announced? I can\'t remember when it was announced last year...

It was rumored to be at $56.3 (which it won\'t).

From Bettman\'s revenue projections, look for it to be in between $54.7 and $55.8 million.

Last year it wasnt rumored to go so high, but it did...just curious when it becomes official.

I get the feeling that Holmgren wants to see what the cap will be before he signs Carter or Umberger. If it raises high enough, he just might try to squeeze Umberger under the cap as well. Otherwise he will be gone.

word around calgary is that sutter is waiting for word of the final cap number before settling on a deal with langkow.

spoke with daymond\'s cousin over the weekend, and while most of the conversation is lost to me, he was sorta shocked that a deal wasn\'t already done.
