Doan or Whitney an upgrade? Who to drop? Use my waiver?

Shane Doan and Ray Whitney have both just been dropped and on Waivers. I have the #5 waiver on this 8 team League.

Who should I drop to pick up Doan? Should I be picking up Whitney too?

Is Doan worth the use of my Waiver position?

**I also have Callahan on IR, do I need to drop TWO players in order to complete my waiver pickup??

I don't really see Doan as an upgrade to any of your forwards.

If that's the best that's out there, I might just stand pat for now.

Doan usually puts up about 200 some SOG and 180's Hits with about 50 pts? You dont think that's better than Brassard or Michalek? Michalek will out-point by what, 10-15pts? but less hits? Is the trade-off worth it?

I think they both clear.

I wouldn't take Whitney or Doan in an 8 team league. There are almost certainly better FAs available.

I didn't say that they were better than Doan.

I said that there were probably better FAs available in such a small league.
