NO change... take it and hope he doesn\'t sober up in time to say no. You aren\'t giving up anyone of real impact, plus giving yourself another shot at the Tavaras sweepstakes by swapping 1st rounders from this year to next
hey guys..first post, but have enjoyed reading for quite some time.
Anyway, I am in a new 10 player H2H keeper. We are just finishing the dispersal draft. Scoring (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, W, SV%, SO, GAA) We have a 25 player roster with a salary cap and 25 player farm team.
A GM in the league is really in need of goaltending. He has Bryzgalov, Budaj, Rask, Schneider, and Zatkoff.
we have pretty much worked out this trade:
Hossa, Carle, Stafford, Schneider, 09 1st for Legace, Harding, Lupul, 08 1st (3rd overall), 08 5th entry.
my G:
Carey Price
Tomas Vokoun
Josh Harding
Manny Legace
Mike Smith
Jaroslav Halak
Michal Neuvirth
my RW:
Patrick Kane
Radim Vrbata
Joffrey Lupul
Martin Erat
Petr Sykora
Francois Bouchard
Blake Comeau
my D:
Chris Pronger
Jay Bouwmeester
Kristopher Letang
Kevin Bieksa
John-Michael Liles
Jakub Kindl
Andrej Sekera
Jack Hillen
Philippe Boucher
This trade is obviously a huge help to him and my RW gets better, but given our situations should I make this trade? Would you make a change to the deal? thanks all.

thanks..regarding Tavares other then his lack of goaltending, he has a pretty strong team, I would anticipate the pick being 5-8, but anything can happen I suppose.NO change... take it and hope he doesn\'t sober up in time to say no. Great trade. He gets the good young goaltender in harding, and you get a bonafide star. Nice trade.

This is unreal. This wouldnever go oer in my league. You get Hossa and a 1st, which could be the Tavares pick??
This is robbery..

Well, he is in a tough spot, he needs goalie help and realizes he will have to give up more value in the trade. He is also able to dump some needed salary, while my cap increases significantly. His team will likely improve a lot more from the goalie help then mine will, but still I agree, value wise a win for me. Also, I may be getting a first back next year that will unlikely be Tavares, but I am giving up the 3rd overall in this years draft, and that is a little tough to do!
Also, do you still think my goaltending will still be in good shape after losing Legace and Harding with only getting Schneider in return?
Hossa, Carle, Stafford, Schneider, 09 1st for Legace, Harding, Lupul, 08 1st (3rd overall), 08 5th entry.
my thoughts are this. its a so so trade. in the end you get HOSSA so i say take it. as for the others your getting carle (dman) you have alot of those and he hasnt developed as he should be but should get you some good points and if not trade him. Stafford (i am assuimg Drew) so he is a RW. and you have great RW\'s already and now hossa you are looking very top heavy on RW, but not always a bad thing. as for schneider dont know him but he is a prospect goalie im guesing in van. probably wont get much playing time anytime soon unless traded.
who knows with the MIN situation how many games harding will play this yr he might not make such an impact this yr.
as for this managers standings who knows what will happen. players get hurt, or suck who should be good. another pick in 09 is always a good thing.

with backstrom getting likely a 60-40 split at least of time in minni its doubtful harding is a whole lot of fantasy relevance...and by the time he has a starting job...legace will be retired...you give up lupul AND get something back for him...which is good. The only real issue here is that you give up the 3rd overall pick. tough to do for sure...but you get an 09 pick back...though as you say its not gonna be a top pick. Tough call but i still say you get the better end of this deal...especially if by some miracle hossa stays with pitts. Never know...you\'d shit a brick if he ended up on ovechkins RW lol...but i wouldnt hold my breath on that one :P
