Than Anonymous gets home from school around 3pm, which works out since Babalu and notubble usually make their selection in the afternoon and UW is on ALL the time

Yea, im here from 10-5...then check during the night a bit. thats pretty much my daily schedule, obviously i held up the draft over Memorial day Weekend...im always near a computer.

Thanks... It was between him and another high risk guy, but I think Cheechoo has more of a sure thing going in San Jose. Once he came back from injury he really started to produce at a good pace (76 points over a full season). on a side note, anyone want to trade me their #1 goalie for my 6th round pick:unsure:

Anonymous when he\'s stuck in school, or Torture when he\'s bartending, Tyson Hay is online now so he\'s been much quicker... but yeah for the most part on average we\'re looking pretty good. And obviously there\'s nothing you can do about school and work, so it\'s all good

Oh and keep notubble off of Long Island :P just buggin

Hey guys,

I posted this in the Salary Cap thread. I think we underestimated the cap and I\'d like to deal with it before we realize that we\'ve made a mistake. For those of you who think this is because my team is expensive - you obviously don\'t know me well enough. I do this in every salary cap pool - You can\'t replace talent - bargains are to follow! Please read and comment, preferably in the Salary Cap thread to keep it all in one place:


With the way the draft is shaping up, I can see the $250 extra being a large issue. The way the rules are worded means that as soon I say go in Yahoo, pick ups could start.

Problem is, we could have many many requests for the same players.

One way to deal with it is using the waiver system, but because we have 3 separate Yahoo pools, it will (trust me on this) get ugly with multiple player requests by many different teams in the 3 Yahoo leagues.

I don\'t see this \"rush\" for players changing anytime in the future. I never anticipated this happening.

I am going to propose a change. The cap should be a hard cap of $1250 for 25 players. It also makes for a nice average of $50 per player, meaning more of us can keep our stars as they get more expensive.

Obviously I didn\'t do enough research before setting the cap at $1000. I\'ll take the blame on that one, but I feel like changing the cap now is the right move.

I\'ll send an email out, but you can also comment and reply here. I\'d like everyone to answer, but I think this is best to deal with it now and prevent it from becoming a problem in the future.

PS I\'m heading out to work, I\'ll be back probably around midnight MST. Seems silly to send a list of 12+ though cause half of em will be gone at that point and I\'m not even sure what order I want them in myself.

good progress this morning guys. i\'m confident that i\'ll get in my pick today.

i can\'t believe ribeiro last this long, and carter was just a stupendous pick. i was waffling back and forth between carter and briere, but i figured that i needed to go with a more sure bet after taking radulov earlier.

man, i played hockey last night on an nhl-spec rink and damn, them making the neutral zone smaller after the lockout really changes the game. i\'d always known, just hadn\'t appreciated it enough. it is SO hard to keep guys from entering your zone... which just makes me marvel at how teams like Detroit are able to stop attacks before their blue line.

this was also one of the first times i\'ve played against a goalie with the new style of pads who actually knew how to play with them... and DAMN! is it ever hard to get a puck in along the ice. those friggin pads cover the whole bottom of the net.
