Keeper help! Need your expert advice...

[King Frolov]

First post in a while. In fact, I forgot my password to my old account. Anyway, I need your advice with my last few keepers. You guys helped me out last year, so I figured I\'d see what you thought again this year. Team is down below or in sig. I\'m basically caught once again with a few \"2nd tier\" guys to round out my keepers. We can keep five players total (4 being C/LW/RW/D and 1 being a Goalie).

Keeping for sure:
Spezza (C)
Roy (C)

Pick (2), or feel free to throw out Roy and pick (3):
Ribiero (C)
Morrow (LW)
Frolov (LW)
Green (D)
Rafalski (D)

At Goalie I\'m leaning toward Turco, but please pick (1):
Turco (G)
Biron (G)



A few things to consider:
- We start 3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, 5 D, and 2 Goalies.
- League is head-to-head and categories are: G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SHP,GWG,SOG,W,L,GAA,SV.
- I have tended to overrate Frolov (as evidenced by my avatar) so I\'m not as compelled to keep him again this year even though I still think he\'ll finally be a point-per-game guy in \'08-\'09. But he didn\'t help anywhere else last year but GWG. Maybe surgery on that groin of his will do the trick this year.
- I\'ve finished 4th, 4th, and 3rd the past three years out of eighteen committed owners (we take this league really seriously - huge entrance fee).

Only keeping 4 is tough. Keeping Spezza is a no brainer, but after that it gets harder. I think you should keep Green.

Its pretty close b/w Turco and Biron. I\'m a Flyers fan so the choice for me would be easier. If you have an affinity towards the Flyers or Stars, dont be afraid to let that influence you. They are really close.

I think Frolov and Roy are your other keepers. Frolov is still young and could explode next year. Roy has already had his break out, but he could still expand on it next year.

I\'m assuming the players you cannot keep all go into a draft for next season ?

if so -its always harder to fill the lw spot with quality which is why I\'d suggest keeping Morrow who I think is fantasy gold when healthy

With an 18 team league, good defensemen are always tough to keep, hence why I went with Rafalski and Green.

Morrow was the 11th best player overall last season with these scoring cats. His injury two seasons ago was a wrist - not a back, groin, or concussion so I don\'t think he\'s a band aid boy. Roy: ranked 28. Ribeiro: ranked 32. Morrow will build on confidence in playoffs and LW is much harder to fill than C.

Rafalski will be a +/- rock to lean on (5th ranked D) and Green is the future of offensive D (7th ranked D).

Turco doesn\'t have a young G nipping at his heels.

4. Ribiero (C) - I\'d try and re-draft Ribiero

Green (ya he could pull a Matt Carle next year, but its very unlikely especially with the o-support in Washington)
Rafalski (it would be stupid, sorry, ill-advised, to drop a top 5 dman)
Turco (Birons only a couple years younger, but I like Turco\'s situation better - no chance of being usurped and a better defensive team... I didn\'t check if saves were a cat, if they are then maybe Marty B, but like everyone has said its close)

Lol- Fanta chose Biron because he had no goalie nipping at his heels... I totally forgot Smith had been moved to Tampa as well- and I own him:S!
