Yeah I don\'t like it either
a guy in my league asked me my opinion on this trade. He was offered it...
his
nash budaj and theodore
for
miller and either Mikko koivu or hejduk
I think its a bad trade for him b/c his next best wingers
are..kotalik naslund or stempniak. He wants to do it and then flip one of his C (crosby roy and now M.koivu) for a winger.
I don\'t know if my judgement is clouded by the fact that i think he\'s selling nash low and i wanna try and make him an offer... what do you fantasy veterans think

It depends where Theo ends up. Odds are he\'ll come back to the AVS for less money. If you use Dobber\'s rankings here\'s what the trade looks like:
Miller 127.9 + Hejduk 66.4/43.6 = 171.5 or 184.3
Theo 84.9 + Budaj 76.2 + Nash 100.7 = 261.8
The only way I would make the deal is by removing Budaj, and asking for Hejduk. Than I would cross my fingers and hope that Theo flops at the start of the year and Budaj comes in to save the day.
Personally, I wouldn\'t mind this trade. Ryan Miller is a top 10 goaltender. If you look at Hejduk his last 4 season he appears to be pulling a Prospal. 35g 75 pts, followed by 24g 58 pts, then back up to 35g 70 pts, and this year 29g 54 pts. With a healthy Stasny next year, he\'ll be back up to 35g and 70-75 pts.

hard to add anything to maple\'s succinct analysis (good job!) so I\'ll just chime in with my agreement that its really a piss poor trade...I think Nash is all upside now, he\'s really coming into his prime and the Blue Jackets are a team on the rise, esp with two first round picks this year...if they can snag Nash a centerman (of which there are several good options this draft) he has a shot to finally become the 50 goal scorer we all know he has the potential to be.
its true, mapletreemarty is the man...always on point with his analysis...and always way too indepth...which is perfect. Unfortunately the guy did the trade last night anyways...sigh...guess i cant snag nash cheap now....oh well..maybe i can swindle miller outta him since he makes bad trades i guess lol
